• WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2008 by Sam & Glo Fonte, the Sam2Glo Learning Center has been providing free tutoring in reading and math to grade 3 pupils of elementary schools in the town of Romblon, Romblon, Philippines. Sam, an electronic engineer, has elementary school roots in Romblon West Central, one of the participating schools of the program and is a proud '64 alum of Romblon National High School, where the program's math tutors attend school. Glo, a native of Nueva Viscaya and physician, has accompanied her husband to his province annually, conducting medical missions in the rural barangays (neighborhood) outside of the town. Their daughter, Justine, a math teacher by trade, was initially brought onto the team to build the math peer tutoring program. She manages the tutor training, curriculum development, and DepEd partnership. The sisters of the Handmaids of the Lord oversee the daily operations of the Center.
